Ozempic® is a prescription used to improve blood sugar levels in adults who have type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM).
Important Safety Information: Ozempic® (semaglutide) is used to improve blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. Do not use Ozempic® if you or any of your family have ever had MTC, or if you have an endocrine system condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), or if you have had a serious allergic reaction to semaglutide or any of the ingredients in Ozempic®. Ozempic® is an injectable prescription medicine used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar (glucose) in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Ozempic® works with your body’s own ability to lower blood sugar and A1C. Ozempic® is designed to respond when your blood sugar rises, helping your body to release its own insulin.
The most common side effects of Ozempic® may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach (abdominal) pain, and constipation.
